While my professional development journey really ignited with educational technology – and the radical opportunity that adopting 1:1 devices afforded me and my school to rethink our relationship to curriculum, to learning, and to our students, what undergirds this blog is my desire to continue to grow as an educator – and to share that passion with a broader community of educators.
During the 2013-14 school year, my class embarked on a 1:1 pilot program using iPads. Thanks to their enthusiasm – and increased learning, our school has decided to go 1:1 iPad starting in 2014. This blog was initially designed to capture and share my learning. More recently, my vision as an educator has expanded to help all of my students write into and for the 21st century.
I hold an Innovative Educators Advanced Studies Certificate from a joint program between Fresno Pacific University and CUE. I hold a Leading Edge Certificate in Online and Blended Teaching, and am working toward another LEC certificate as a Digital Educator.
